The inhabitants park underneath the building. They disembark and move through a snakelike spine wall which continues up the site on a steep incline and evolves into a water body suspended above the ground plain. Puncturing this spine is a series of openings that invite the inhabitants to walk through, or look up and around into the surrounding voids. The floating roof plain kicks up and down to let light into the building and draw the Fremantle Doctor through it’s wings. The in-between spaces are dark and meditative and one can easily get lost in this house as the dogs will show you. Across the water body is a raised pavilion as an observation point back across the water and vertically up, down, over and beyond.
